TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! FRIDAY FAIR PLAY: BURNS & MAC INSIDER REVEALS HOW NEW AIRPORT SELECTION COMMITTEE BOTCHED PRESSER AND OPENED KANSAS CITY TO CHALLENGE!!!

Like it or not, we've got FIRST WORD that doesn't just explain that Burns & Mac is going to fight this decision.

Out blog community does better . . .

HERE'S THE STRATEGY THAT BURNS & MAC WILL USE TO PUSH BACK AGAINST A BUSTED PROCESS!!!

Already underway, the argument starts HERE.

Checkit:

BURNS & MAC INSIDER: KCI

Selection committee killed the project. Won't pass legal challenge.

Edgemoor isn't authorized to do business in MO. Search for "edgemoor" here: https://bsd.sos.mo.gov/BusinessEntity/BESearch.aspx?SearchType=O. RFP/Q paragraph 7(t), added by addendum 2 paragraph 24, says to qualify a proposed must be in compliance with all applicable laws prerequisite to doing business in MO. Committee didn't even do this basic diligence on edgemoor. Crazy.

They botched the selection itself too. Rfpq and city code said committee would rank proposers by qualification. Yesterday committee said they didn't rank or even vote on them. The rfpq and code say committee is supposed to give council a ranking to use in making a choice, not a single selection. Committee is trying to decide the issue itself and control what the full council will do.

Whole thing is illegitimate anyway. The airport ballot ordinance code 6-50(a)(1) says that "the city" is "prohibited from" any "preparation for demolition, replacement, or construction" of the terminal before the ballot is presented to the public. The selection committee's entire process has been such preparation (choosing financing and builders). It's all invalid. After the election, someone could sue and make the city start all over.

Blame this one on Jermaine. He was irresponsible in his statements. He should have kept quiet and let the grown ups do the talking.

^^^ Not at all. Jolie was the main embarrassment.

BURNS & MAC

Lot's of U-Haul joints around whenever you want to load up.

Jermaine and Shields were the driving forces that were responsible for this entire debacle. Jolie tried to keep it on track and follow the rules. Jermaine and Shields derailed it and I would bet money that they did it to pocket a bundle of cash.

Can The Baker Act be used on City Council and all the Players in the 0.0001% strip mining and wrecking KCMO?

No as long as one keeps the money trickling up to the top 0.0001% your not considered insane.

Basic services of importance to residents are routinely totally ignored so that these elected clowns to play amateur developer and make believe that "progress" consists of building pretty much anything and most of it at mostly public expense.
Yet this debacle shows, as well as does Mike's fake hotel deal, that KCMO electeds would be lucky to collectively find the expertise and competence to run a one-car garage.
It would all be funny if this clown show performance, repeated year after year, didn't make such a laughing stock of the entire region.
It's just hard to believe that with a $1.4 billion budget and a population of 472,000 KC can't seem to find 13 people who are interested in actually even trying to serve the public and can't hire some competent professionals to fill jobs at city hall.
What is the world is someone like Troy doing being paid a quarter of a million dollars a year?

This is all a dog & pony show. It will be as Sly wishes.

They still don't have to pay earnings taxes on the new building. That seems likely a lovely parting gift for finishing third.

Burns and Mac now acting like conflict is a problem for them is rare indeed. For most of a decade they have been injecting conflict of interest into more than a few fix situations. Don't think they are done, nor is the public done with pushback. Troy should go now, he was a party to this slop and the panel was way to ahead of themselves in thinking the voting public are on board for the present approach. Dozens of major players were in on the fix and the public just realized how not of like mind they are with the rubber stamping stuffed suits on all this. It should signal a fresh, clean approach besides Sly's lawyer orgy without a clue.

I look at the picture on the top of this story and I see;

1. A female who looks like she would be a better fit pushing a broom in a WalMart.

2. A overweight male sporting an idiotic jailhouse growth of hair around his mouth advertising he's like to be someones bitch while leaning to the left to blow off some gas from their Taco Bell lunch.

3. A black male with his bling watch jestering like what he is saying is important but we all know that he is just shucking and jiving for the camera while thinking about the ho's he will be out with later.

Your tax dollars at work, just not working for you.
