RAYTOWN RAGE AGAINST 'PUBLIC NUISANCE' WALMART AMID POLICE CUTS!!!

Corporate tax giveaways and NEARLY 1/3RD OF ALL CRIME in this metro city confront politicos dealing with a shrinking budget.

Take a look:

Fox4: As police layoffs loom, Raytown considers declaring Walmart a ‘public nuisance’

Deets:

“Walmart does not pay anything to the city of Raytown; no property taxes, anything because of the TIF," Cheryl White said.

Chief Lynch says he's already informed the 17 police officers, they’ll be off the force in Raytown on November 1st.

But Tuesday night in a final meeting between the Board and Police Command staff, Teeman proposed an unusual solution.

“Would you be in support of a declaration on this board of making Walmart a public nuisance?" Teeman asked.

“I would consider (Walmart) to be a drain on our resources," Major Randy Hudspeth said.

Raytown Police say they made more than 500 arrests at Walmart in 2016. In May an off-duty Jackson County deputy shot and killed a shoplifter investigators say reached for her taser.

Raytown Police say Walmart accounts for 30 percent of their part-one crime.

You decide . . .

Some Raytown elected official(s) agreed to this deal. Who are they? They need to be held accountable.

the reality...Raytown, once a proud bastion of middle class, yes, white middle class murica is/has rapidly changed with respect to demographics...and along with the changes, crime and deterioration...piss and moan all you care to, it is a fact that bears accuracy with crime stats and conditions of Raytown neighborhoods, schools and businesses...thus the Walmart story...so, your Raytown city government gave away/sold their soul to capture a Walmart...shame, shame...live with it and learn...you good folks of Raytown could very well be the next Ferguson...

If Raytown wants taxes from Walmart (or any other business), then don't approve a TIF for them. 7:20 is right. Why were the dim bulbs who approved the TIF?

The Walmart effect.... crime goes up and they require the police to have regular patrols in and around the store and spend precious time dragging thieves out of their stores. My Walmart has three countem three KCPD in its store all day everyday. They are a giant abuser of police depts

They're missing the larger point: Walmart itself is an ongoing criminal conspiracy.

Walmart isn't the problem. Negroes are the problem.

Walmart was already in Raytown way before the tif. They must have given them the tif to build the new super center.

7:49 is right!

Would you allow any other business to have such a high amount of documented crime? Thats over 1.3 arrests per day at one establishment.

Over 500 arrests in a year at a Wal-Mart? Holy shit! Close that motherfucker down!

Go into about any Walmart even the ones that are suppose to be in a "good" part of town after midnight and their are a lot of creepy looking people. Meth head types all high stung wandering around.

Even during the day it get s a good share of strange people but at night watch yourself and stay away from them.

Raytown has brought all this shit on themselves.

First, if the city would actually thrown these thieves at Walmart in jail instead of fining them $50.00 perhaps they would deter crime instead of making it a money making racket for the city. Would the city honestly ask Walmart to allow those five hundred shoplifters and thieves to walk out the door with their property just to please some local boss hog politicians. Why have police if enforcing laws is breaking the city? What the fuck are they smoking in Raytown

Second, it is pretty chicken shit of these ass hats running Raytown to make sweet deals and offer enticements for businesses to come into the city and then consider admonishing the business for doing exactly what they promised to do.

Closing retail is certainly not needed in a city that requires every cent of sales tax revenue. Nevertheless, it must be pondered why Raytown has done near nothing to bring any substantive manufacturing to the city whatsoever. That would mean tax revenue, jobs and income taxes from employees. Given the crime and complete lack of vision in the city leadership I would suggest that Raytown itself should be shut down as a public nuisance. The city sure needs to stop nibbling on the hands that feed it.

Walmart also makes taxpayers pay for their workers food and healthcare by keeping them on foodstamps (which Walmart is one of the largest redeemers of in the USA) and by making govt healthcare their only affordable option.

Walmart is all about stealing.

Don't blame wal-mart..any co.would take that deal. City officials obviously wanted them to do that tic deal. Can't b a monday morning quarterback, n backslide in it after the fact. Blame all these low lives, tired of the trash in this world bringing us down. Wal mart employs a lot of people n this town. Puts food on their table for their kids.
