Lots of police and very little drama continued at Washington Square Park this afternoon.
Here's the sitch according to one of our favorite former council dudes:
"Several of the AntiFa members armed with weapons. She also said the religious groups, which included people from various faiths, spent time praying, singing and offering peace.
“We were doing it because it’s just time for the faith community to step up,” Senior Pastor Zion Grove Baptist Church Michael Brooks told Fox 4."
"Citing a city ordinance, Kansas City police ORDERED antifa members to remove ammunition from their firearms at a rally Saturday in Washington Square Park."
All things considered and JUST AS WE PREDICTED . . . It was a mellow affair.

TKC, give credit where it's due. KCPD diffused a tense situation and kept the crowd safe. That is something that was not accomplished in other cities. The new chief looks like he's the real deal.

ReplyDeleteTranny was there but looks like a dude which he is. City ordinance requires a CCW to carry concealed or otherwise. If you don't have one then you have to unload the weapon. I know it's tough to be an anarchist and follow the rules but such is life. Most of these fucks are from Kansas so can you please do some protesting on the Kansas side and give us a break. Looks like it's time for another trip to Lawrence by some Missouri riders.

There appears to be an effort to minimize the Antifascist effort on September 9th. Maybe because the meetup had a different organizing than what you've been use to. There was a period of time in the US where immigration was welcome. Also, there was a time where the Nazi's were defeated by the Russian Army in a ground war. The US controlled the supply routes during the war. There were more draft dodgers during the Second World War than there was during the Vietnam War. WWII relied on 75% draft, where Vietnam had 75% volunteers in the Army. War is the only thing that is real. In the 1980's neo nazi's began showing up at punk rock shows forcing the punk rock scene to get involved in anti racist action. In the 1970's the same reasons Anti Racist Action began in Europe. These days, paramilitary groups are showing up at activist gathering with military weapons. There was a gradual creep of Second Amendment Open Carry while an increase of police abuse and killings were occurring for three decades. What appears to the rise of Trump actually had been building for 30 years.
