Winslow's BBQ Closing Its Doors Next Month After 46 Years In The River Market
Winslow's BBQ, a City Market institution that traces its roots to the "roaring" River Quay days in 1971, is going out of business next month. The barbecue joint and its 300-seat outdoor patio overlooking the City Market vendors has been a familiar fixture for generations, but that will all end Oct.
A new restaurant is taking its place,
ReplyDeletecalled Confederate Fried Chicken.
I never ate there so I don't know what I'm missing.
ReplyDeleteYou did't miss anything, the place was never very good.
ReplyDeleteThank God those dumps are closing. Hooray for the upscale restaurants the STREETCAR is bringing!
ReplyDeleteSoftbank has struck an agreement with Uber’s shareholders to block Travis Kalanick from being reinstated as the top executive of the perennially cash-burning ride-hailing company.
ReplyDeleteSo weez gunnz need more street carz extenzions.
When is that Confederate Chicken place opening ????
ReplyDeleteDickeys is another BBQ restaurant that has a few opened up that I can't see why people eat there.
ReplyDeleteI gave the place maybe 10 different chances to get better. But every time its like, this place still sucks, so don't eat there also.
Winslow's had shit service and the ribs were mediocre at best, not gonna miss them.
ReplyDeleteThe chicken wings were really good when Winslow owned it. They really were the pioneers of the Market. Everything changes. Nothing good can stay.
ReplyDeleteWinslow's was the shittiest example of a BBQ restaurant in KC. They sucked up to the artsy fartsy crown and did a good job of promoting themselves, but the basic product and service was certified shit.
ReplyDelete^^Do you certify shit? How would you know what shit tastes like? Bad look for you dude.
ReplyDelete^^^ I know shit when I see it turd!
