This bit of infrastructure spending may or may night make drivers feel safer as they journey along perilous local roads. Take a look:
$7.5 million allocated for new LED lights below Bartle Hall
Kansas City is planning to spend more than $7 million to light up a rather dark area to keep drivers and the community safe. A range of lighting for roadways and ramps near Bartle Hall is in the works. The new project plans to light the entire tunnel with more than 1,800 LED lights.
cause streetlights stop bullets
ReplyDeleteHood rats who are helping keep the negroid population in check need help in seeing their targets. If not, the next thing you know the city will be overrun like St Louis
ReplyDeleteGood idea more light so you hit your target.
ReplyDeletewell those city bum dwellers hide up in those hidden spots under the bridges, my guess is an a-hole is doing the shooting of the cars from up in there somewhere.
ReplyDeleteif that is the case then I guess its a good idea.
Lights do not reduce crime.

All they do is cost more money and contribute to more light pollution. Even LED can be bad.
More $$$ for an engineering firm to plan, install and maintain no doubt.
ReplyDelete7.5 million for lights under a building over a road ? WTF? How much is going in Sly's pocket? I will do it for 1 million.

ReplyDeleteThis guy can't even fix the holes in the roads how is he going to spend this kind of money on lights? Looks like another setup for another GO BOND vote, what will they call it this time?
That area isn't that dark and talk about a deal that looks like is a pay off to somebody. This city can sure throw money away.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap. Another reason to spend tax money that is beyond stupid. If they want street lights, please come North of the River and take the dozens of lights KCPL put in to "stop crime". Well, it didn't stop anything. In fact, the criminals liked the additional illumination. Made stealing easier.
ReplyDeleteWhen you raise a substantial part of your city's young population to be ignorant, illiterate and unemployable, all the street lights in the world can't save you. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteGo to downtown Gladstone, it was ruined by over lighting.
ReplyDelete1800 new lights and KC is more in the dark than ever.
