TKC QUESTION: WILL NEW AIRPORT FAIL RUIN MAYOR SLY'S KANSAS CITY LEGACY AND RENDER HIM A LAME DUCK???
Just because George Brett wants a new airport doesn't make it a good idea.
Accordingly . . .
THE MEDIA BLITZ FOR THE PROPOSED NEW KANSAS CITY AIRPORT ISN'T REALLY RESONATING WITH VOTERS AND THREATENS TO CRASH AND BURN MAYOR SLY'S CAREER!!!
Consider . . .
The rigged streetcar is really a legacy of former Council Dude Russ Johnson and it cost him his political career.
While the Northland dude didn't really have the temperament to deal with pesky voters, reporters or people in general . . . Still, he deserves credit, the sketchy TDD scheme was his idea as a way to avoid convincing the world of his MENSA genius.
And so what do we have to remember the current Administration by other than tweets???
And so . . .
IS MAYOR SLY RISKING HIS LEGACY AND LAME DUCK STATUS WITH THE NEW AIRPORT???
And then . . .
TO BE FAIR, THEY'RE GONNA HAVE TO NAME IT AFTER HIM IF HE WINS!!!
You decide . . .
The mayor will win.
ReplyDeleteKC will vote for the airport.
There's not really a choice. That's the way the vote is going to turn out with or without anyone showing up. The same way the go bond election and turnout was set up. The few people who went to vote saw nothing but empty polls all day but then they reported record turnout and a decisive win.
KC doesn't really count votes anymore. Nobody really noticed either way.
His only goal now is to rake in as much cash as he possibly can while leaving as much damage as possible in his wake.
ReplyDeleteThere is an old saying, "in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king." Sly is our one eyed man.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter. With all the money he rakes in from campaign contributions and all the money he gets under the table that we don't know about, he wins either way.
ReplyDelete#KorruptCity
Makes you wonder just how much money is unaccounted for and has been misappropriated this past seven years.
ReplyDeleteHe will split town just like Brownback did!
ReplyDeleteSly is already making plans to go to KC.
ReplyDeleteTKC knows that he rarely is in KC on any other day than Thursday to vote on 3 or 4 items and then leaves early.
He is an absentee mayor.
D.C., we know ya meant.
DeleteYep
ReplyDeleteYup
Yep
Either way, his legacy will be the corruption and deceit and not doing anything for the people of Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteCurfews for teens is the only thing anyone will remember
ReplyDeleteVote no on Pendergast International.
ReplyDeleteHis legacy is murders, deceit, corruption and failure to take care of anything outside the downtown corridor. He'll take his boat loads of ill gotten cash and leave town just like the cleave, Kay Waldo and funkytown did. We got majorly screwed by sLIE, for what? A legacy, instead we get record murders, and massive debt.
ReplyDeleteI hope he goes to D.C., it's a republican town now and he won't last
ReplyDeleteIt hasn't failed. Getting a little ahead of yourself aren't you?
ReplyDeleteDid your losing a libel suit ruin your legacy?
Oh wait it did.
Quickly! Mayor Bullhorn wants his feet rubbed! Step to it, slave.
Delete10:47 sLIE, Is that you??? We've been looking all over town for you......
ReplyDelete@10:47 Ever been in one of those Cattle Pen Airports they're planning for KCI? They were all the rage in the 1990s!
ReplyDeleteLong waiting lines, long walks to the Gates, long walks to Baggage Carousels, absolute chaos for folks trying to pick up someone, poor parking choices, just about a failure in every aspect.
So, IT'S ALREADY FAILED if they build it! Talk to anyone who uses one of these mistakes frequently, they are universally hated!
So why are "they" (B&McD, James, Justice, et al.) trying to ram this through? Simple - they're cheap to build this way, and there's lots of room for rake-offs, graft, and various forms of chicanery, but it can be made to look pretty when it's brand new!
So expect a normal KC voting result on this question in November, an overwhelming victory for the side that controls counting the vote!
And be prepared for the Airlines to start announcing service cuts (due to economic downturns) about six months to a year after "The Kansas City Voters Show Overwhelming Support For The New Airport At The Polls"!
I don't think people realize what a mistake this will be. If it's such a great idea why all the rush to push it through? KCI is one of the easier airports to maneuver through and if you fly at all then you know this. Most people just want their flights to be on time and not have to run like crazy from one gate to another hoping to make their connecting flight. I hope everyone wakes up and starts asking serious questions of the so-called leaders at City Hall. Otherwise we're going to be stuck with a big mess...and I'm going to bet one that the citizens of KCMO will indeed end up paying for, no matter what we are being told.
ReplyDeleteSly will get what he wants, the way he wants it and will get as much of your money as he wants to get it done. Six months after he has got it all will be forgiven and ass kiss Kansas City will go right back to loving up his libtard ass - just like they always do. The boss hog loving Democrats have relied on people failing to hold politicians accountable locally and nothing is going to change. The fun part is watching the cycle of local bitching as pet project after pet project gets unveiled and I can guarantee there will be more to come. KC wont be doing a damn thing about it either. Sly or whoever is in charge will throw out a few crumbs to the dregs and that is all it will take to guarantee a political future in this town.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Tony buy Sly will get his airport put in its in the cards dude.
ReplyDeleteThe good 'ol days of going in and out of the airport to drop off or pick up passengers will be gone. It will look tacky and the voters will say I didn't think it would turn out like this?! Long after Sly is gone from office.
His pockets bulging with cash from the slick under handed deals from Burns and McDonall and your hometown hero George (pee on me) Brett will get his cut and be and the ribbon cutting ceremony as well.
I wish it wouldn't get in like the toy train disaster but it will my friend.
Sly is already barred from seeking re-election.
ReplyDeleteThank god he termed out, his worthless ass needs to be kicked out and the sooner the better
ReplyDeleteOnly if it's spelled like this "sLIE James International Airport" and tell me why it's an International airport when we don't have international flights? More trying to be a big city b.s.?
ReplyDeleteYou begging for some of this Jolie Justice?
ReplyDeleteKC should tell the bs artists they love what the airport can be with a 200 million dollar upgrade and screw the machine. We want to see the flight attendant survey.
ReplyDeletesly has always been a lame duck. Its media that overstated his relevance. Stupid whites prevailed by electing him. He's for sale to the white man and you don't really have to offer a high bounty. The lowest bidder won.
ReplyDeleteSly and the Rockhurst mafia are about to be spotlighted are intellectually weak bs artists cheating the public with their fixes. The public is punching back.
ReplyDeletewith multiple fixes going against the vote, you can assume the state, fed, fbi, and lawsuit opportunists are primed to weigh in, so much for the slam fix Sly
ReplyDeletePull the thread and let's see who is behind the curtain, fixes are about to get less fun in this town.
ReplyDeleteJust looking at his mug makes me sick. He looks like the love child of Kunta Kinte and the Joker.
ReplyDelete...or Harambe
