ReplyDeleteBut before you can communicate, you actually have to have something well-informed and intelligent to say.
And you have to have the self-confidence, maturity, and modesty to consider that the opinions, views, and suggestions of others may also have some validity and relevance.
Serious communications don't take place in the street with yelling mobs and sign-carrying crowds looking for attention and face-time on television.
It takes place in private with small diverse groups of people who are willing to be candid and thoughtful and who are good listeners as much as they may be adamant in their beliefs and positions.
Stop the narcissistic parades, learn enough about issues to be able to actually make intelligent well-informed recommendations, respect the opinions of others, and contribute to your community.
Following such a common sense simple process will instantly exclude most of the silly clowns participating in the current shows.
