While much of America thinks Donald Trump,our president, is a racist and a terrible man, HE IS OUR ELECTED LEADER. Believe me I know how electric his name can be when mentioned to anti-Trump people you know or meet. I was just in LA and oh my God, his name mentioned is like dropping a bomb on someones head. It's just out of control. Now we have a Missouri State Senator call for his 'death' how insane.
One of the biggest reasons Trump was elected was his hard stand on 'law and order,' right. Many Americans saw that as electing a person who would do something about the street violence in America today. As we all know most of that is regarding homicides, gang violence and senseless drive bye shootings as well as late night violence nationwide in big cities like Chicago. Now we have all the protests and violence over a confederate flag and statues of former soldiers even presidents who sided with the South during the Civil War or were slave owners. These are the 'bad guys' right? Some were some weren't. Hey didn't we massacre more than a million innocent American Indians to steal their land and property? OH I forgot we gave them some casino's a few years ago to make up for raping and killing their grandparents. I forgot. Our founding fathers did many bad things didn't they. We also did good things, great things. When you build a nation it goes both ways sadly.
I believe the biggest threat to this nation is US. Not North Korea or Middle Eastern Terrorists...US. We have a racial divide like we have never seen before. The distrust and anger between African Americans and White America is reaching more than the boiling point. YES our president needs to rethink his moves and its time for a calming down of the hate on both sides. We need to declare PEACE. It's ok to disagree, its ok to be upset over the past misdeeds by white America, but its not ok to continue to use that as an excuse to be violent or commit murder. We need a coalition of respected African American Leaders and white leaders to meet with President Trump and come to a new understanding of 'what was and what is to be.' The president needs to hear both sides and we need to change our ways. Finger pointing and all the bad attitudes from sports figures to people at work needs to stop. We need a new beginning and a forgiveness to start over. We simply can't change all the mistakes of yesterday.
It could change the Trump White House if he would lead the way to begin this process before race relations get even worse. Peace is possible, the media needs to help instead of ignite violence to get eyeballs to watch them on the tube. There needs to be some new rules and some kindness on both sides. A forgiveness and a promise to really work together. Start really fixing the schools, health care and putting our money to good use. What happened to all that lottery money for schools? Its time to step up and do the right thing on both sides.
The White House is a good place to start.
