I think $10 was a safer bet . . . But check more deets on a topic we talked last night . . . And considering that today's KC vote is mostly ceremonial:
New Ballot Initiative Aims to Raise Missouri's Minimum Wage - to $12
So what if the state legislature struck down the city's minimum wage increase? A new effort aims to take those elected officials right out of the equation. A group called Raise Up Missouri announced this morning that it would be gathering signatures to put a new ballot initiative before voters in November 2018.
i vote no!
ReplyDeleteI say we vote on eliminating the minimum wage and let businesses live in a true capitalist economy. The businesses would be forced to pay what the job shows it is worth to the buying public. End of problem, end of $15 per hour bullshit.
ReplyDeleteWork harder and smile more.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how these poor deprived fucktards could be working instead of protesting, could be learning a trade instead of pitching for a handout, but their problems are all their employer's fault. Has nothing to do with the directions they choose.
ReplyDelete8:54 you can't work 24/7. I'm sure some of the protesters have jobs, some don't.
ReplyDelete524 though closely related, there is a difference between capitalism and free market. What you described is free market, though the irony of your word choice is applaudable.

Is also shows how economics are a little more complicated than your comment suggests. I agree we should live in a completely free market, but that entails much much more than addressing the minimum wage.
I voted yes, I'm doing it for all you broke-ass geezers who have nothing better to do all day than make dull comments on a third rate blog. Now you can get your lazy ass to Wal-Mart and start greeting your betters. Get a job goons!
ReplyDelete^ we made enough money that we retired. Back to work at your minimum wage job, slug.
