A neighborhood fireworks display turned terrifying in Independence. Someone in a truck took aim at the display - and the people watching it. It's a display done just for the neighborhood near Truman Road and Alexander where the streets are lined with neighbors and friends. And the fireworks are set up hours in advance.

Independence police investigate double-stabbing

Police are investigating after two people were stabbed in the 600 block of North Main Street. Independence police say the victims' conditions are not known at this time. IPD looking for missing elderly woman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Officials are looking for a missing elderly woman. 82-year-old Marry Ann M. Barnard was last seen at 1 p.m. Wednesday at 4027 S. Crysler Ave in Independence, Missouri. She left to go to a friend's house but never arrived.
