Kansas City Old School Artsy Protest

#TBT reporting on the previous creative class and their struggle against the status quo. Checkit:

'Invest Your Son' - Catching Up With the KCAI Student Who Spoke Against the Vietnam War and Caused A National Furor

The year was 1966. The Vietnam War was escalating, but the public tide had not yet fully turned against the war. That didn't stop Joe Draegert, then a 20-year-old student at Kansas City Art Institute, from deciding to make a statement.

There is a war going on somewhere on this planet every single stinking day. People are suffering and dying, and there is no end to it. But, someone is making a butt-load of money with every bullet, every jet airplane, every uniform, and every body bag.

Yes, war is VERY good business. That's why there are so many of them.
