Dead-Tree Sports Dude Sam Mellinger Used As Pawn To Promote New No-Bid Burns & Mac Kansas City Single-Terminal Money Grab

A hokey and homespun column aimed at sports enthusiasts is the latest newspaper gambit to push the faltering agenda of Kansas City corporations and City Hall hoping to siphon BILLIONS worth of airport revenue into their own pockets.

You decide:

Sam Mellinger: I love KCI, but Kansas City needs a new airport

Kansas City International Airport is my perfect match, and if it remained our airport forever, I would be perfectly happy. But I also recognize reality: We need a new airport because what we have now is outdated and inefficient. July 8, 2017

Cognitive Dissonance at it's finest.

Like the Star didn't make him do that. Have some class and integrity, Sam, even if you do work for the Star.

Like if I want opinion on public policy, I always go to a sports reporter.

Sams a village idiot here... should stick to trying to emulate Joe Po. I've been to most major airports and NONE rank for convenience as does KCI. If Mellinger thinks he needs more to eat that a new airport would offer- he should just check his mirror or waistline and call it good.

We need to stop reading the OPINIONS of people who are paid to report and only provide paid political messages.

Nice to know that Sam Mellinger LOVES KCI, but.........

If the dumb-ass voters approve any of this shady deal, well, you can't fix stupid.
