TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! LOSING KANSAS CITY COUNCIL CONTENDER JAY HODGES EMBARKS ON NEW AIRPORT SUNSHINE REQUEST CRUSADE!!!

Part of the reason that Jay Hodges lost his run for council MIGHT be related to his campaign lit featuring a smirking grin standing next to what looks like a glory hole.

And now . . .

IN AN ONGOING BIT OF POLITICAL ACTIVISM . . . JAY HODGES NOW HOPES TO LAUNCH SUNSHINE REQUESTS TO CONTRADICT COUNCIL QUESTIONS ON THE NEW AIRPORT!!!

From Jay . . .

"Pursuant to Chapter 610 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri please consider this a request for all notes, written or recorded, and presented or distributed materials for the closed session meeting the City Council held on June 6, 2017 concerning the Kansas City International Airport request for proposals . . ."

His argument is that Council "stated direct comments and figures" to the media.

The city fires back . . .

"Sec. 2-2050, Code of Ordinances, is not part of the Mo. Sunshine Law and does not modify any aspect of the Mo. Sunshine Law. In addition, there is nothing in Sec. 2-2050 that says what you contend it says. There is nothing in Sec. 2-2050 that says that if a person makes a prohibited disclosure that doing so turns the closed meeting into an open meeting and also turns any associated closed record into an open record."

Another funny reply . . .

"I will then take this to a more public route for discussion."

And so . . .

FORMER POLITICAL CONTENDER NOW THREATENS COUNCIL WITH SUNSHINE ADVOCACY IN SERVICE OF THE NEW AIRPORT!!!

While more transparency is great the behind the scenes on this is that Jay is still on Team Sly and desperate to fight off Council questions into the Burns & Mac new airport deal that's quickly falling apart.

And so, given the request for more transparency and public discussion . . . Our blog community grants Mr. Hodges his wish with this bit of blog community discussion.

You decide . . .

Hodges lost to Teresa Loar as he did not want to go negative with her long public record of ethical and legal problems. Now he wants to help Slie by putting up a smokescreen to distract from the issues.
Mean while, Loar wants to be the leading airport remodel advocate.
