Local cyclists often flex their political muscle in Kansas City proper and have dedicated a disproportionate amount of local resources to mostly empty local lanes and unused accommodation. Given recent tragedy in JoCo . . . It could be time for them to direct their attention that way. Take a look:
Cyclist in serious condition after being hit by truck in Overland Park
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - A man is listed in serious condition after being hit by a truck near W. 129th Street on Metcalf Avenue Thursday. Police say the 80-year-old man was northbound on Metcalf Avenue when he swerved into oncoming traffic. He was taken to an area hospital, where paramedics say he was able to speak.
