The self-righteous indignation in this local blogger post offers an interesting perspective but but ignores the fact that witnesses as the scene report the poor lady walked into traffic distracted by her smartphone . . . And then met with a tragic fate.

"The city is full of brilliant engineers, planners, and designers equipped with the tools and know-how to implement safer street design . . ."

IS THIS KANSAS CITY URBAN PLANNER EXPLOITING A TRAGEDY FOR POLITICAL GAIN OR VOICING A LEGITIMATE COMPLAINT ABOUT DANGEROUS LOCAL STREETS?!?!

Either way, we advise locals to be careful and put down their smartphones in traffic.
