Tonight we offer a glimpse of local transit culture amid a controversial vote currently underway . . .
First and foremost, we MUST remind locals of the ongoing secret ballot election mostly downplayed by all but a couple of local news oulets . . .
And then . . . A Kansas City tradition . . . Music on the streetcar takes the form of a local hip-hop sing-a-long this week:
Finally . . .
The signature clip and the highlight of the weekend . . .
WATCH THIS DUDE RACE THE KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR!!!
In a stunning display of athleticism, the guy keeps it closer than most locals could dare imagine:
And so . . .
This will probably conclude our Easter Weekend coverage as we vow to continue our work to champion the local discourse and provide an alternative perspective that holds almost nothing sacred.
Thanks for reading. God Bless. Happy Easter.
If he would have put down his phone, he would have won.
ReplyDelete24 million tourists can't be wrong unless they're not real.
ReplyDeleteKc ain't so bad.why don't you people defect to north Korea. Maybe you'd like it there.
ReplyDeleteDeserted downtown streets. No riders. I guess they fake the numbers when they stop running for the night--some employee plays like that dodo bird on the edge of the glass, and puts his head in and out of the door a zillion times to achieve the Manchurian Ridership goal for the day.
ReplyDeleteAnd good for that runner. I think I'll hum some Cold Play while I run to the fridge for the last of the deviled eggs...
Can someone translate this Tracy post to English?
DeleteWhy? Are you that stupid?
ReplyDeleteNo reason to get nasty
DeleteThe streetcar is the biggest scam in all of Kansas City, too bad the whole city can't vote on it. We're all paying for it anyway.
ReplyDeleteI've walked from 9th to 18th street faster than a streetcar on the route. It is really transportation for people who have no place to go aka tourists
ReplyDeleteA 5 yr.old can run faster than that idiot, looked more like a promotion for the toy train,,, that wasn't running, that was barely a fast walk ,,,,
ReplyDeleteThe Grifter and Lemming Express
ReplyDeleteI think Acy ought to consider working his brain muscles out once in a while.
ReplyDeleteWell, I couldn't do it, but a more fair comparo would probably be a rush-hour walk versus a rider; starting and stopping at the same O-D. Heard plenty of stories over the tourney of walkers beating their counterparts riding from event areas to parking areas.
ReplyDeleteAren't all elections in the US by secret ballot? I can't think of one where you have to publicly announce your vote.
ReplyDeleteHell, if someone gave me free rides. I take it too
