New KC G.O. Bonds Polling

Kansas City, MO – Remington Research Group has completed a public survey of likely April 4th special election voters in Kansas City, Missouri. The survey was conducted April 1 through April 2, 2017. 1,043 likely special election voters participated in the survey and the margin of error is +/-2.35%. 80% of interviews were conducted by automated IVR to landlines and 20% of interviews were conducted by live operator to cell phone numbers. The survey was paid for and commissioned independent of any campaign or committee.

The survey tested support for the three G.O. Bond questions that will appear on Tuesday’s ballot.

Question No. 1 is in the best position to pass with 56% of voters indicating they will vote Yes and 31% stating they will vote No. 13% of voters are undecided.

Question No. 2 is in a difficult position at this time with 50% indicating support and 36% indicating opposition. 15% of voters are undecided.

Question No. 3, which funds improvements to the city’s animal shelter and ADA improvements, garners 55% support and 33% opposition. 12% of voters are undecided on Question No. 3.

Remington Research Group previously conducted a public survey on behalf of the Missouri Scout on March 24th. At that time, 62% of likely voters indicated they supported authorizing the G.O. Bonds with just 23% opposed.

“This survey shows how quickly the electorate shifts in the final week of a campaign,” said Titus Bond, Director of Remington Research Group. “Just nine days ago it appeared the G.O. Bonds were in a good position to pass. Support has now softened, especially on Question No. 3, and it appears that the prospect of all three questions passing is slim.”

There's a lot to unpack here and a bit of surprise that the pet project hasn't been able to turn out more support for the shelter.

But what is obvious is that Mayor Sly James and Troy Schulte aren't helping the situation and their media blitz has actually hurt the campaign.

the campaign has been soft. Most of the reporters are tired of it. KC needs more voter forums and debates. people talking to other people is the most powerful form of persuasion.

Used Remington before and they were spot on.

7-8% turnout?

KC should be ashamed.

I like nice sidewalks and roads. I would like to be able to walk down the sidewalk and cross the road without being exposed to gunfire and robbery. How about doing something no one has done in thirty years. Fully staff the Police Patrol Officers and expand the Jackson County Jail so I can stop carrying so many weapons that I need to protect myself since the City Council won't staff the Police Patrol Divisions.

The late endorsement by the council members in the 3rd and the 5th might have an impact. But there were no promises of cash flowing to the districts. Rather,Sly threatened to cut off services if the votes didn’t come in. Wrong approach.

All this shit don't matter..they will get they're 8000 block of urban votes thanks to the urban preachers saying yes my brothers and sisters we need to vote yes yes yes on this cause of OUR mayor needs us as they all tug on the lapels of their new suits purchased for them just in time for this vote..have mercy my children..been happening forever..

It figures. KCMO residents like the earnings tax since non-residents pay it also. Ask them to pay for something by themselves and support drops. Typical democrat city response.

Typical republican ignorance, this will pass you will pay. Now shut up and go away.

I'm always interested in the comments suggesting the advancement of Sly James agenda is the fault of black people in KC. Either you are lazily equating a "he's black so they like him" or you are flat out dumb. There has been very little support for much of anything the mayor advances in the black community. Blame your white ass children who are so impressed by selfies and stupid catch phrases because it makes them feel cool. Blame your white ass developers and lawyers who feed from the vanity of your white ass children. But it surely is not black KC advancing any of his sambo agenda.

So they win and Tony loses.

I'm sure the accusations of vote fraud can not be far behind tomorrow.

The main question I want to see an answer to is how this pops up right before the election possibly influencing people to go ahead and vote yes. Who paid for it and who where the people polled?

Polling has to be tied to Jeff Roe tied to Glorioso tied to Slie James. Altho they prefer push polls that prevaricate the records of opposition candidates, they may need an honest assessment of opinion.
They have repeatedly demonstrated that they cannot be trusted. If Roe will put out false info in a presidential campaign, can he be trusted in Killa City?

Such bull. Can't soften me. Still NO on bonds.

Remington has a solid reputation for honesty
If they didn't they would not be in business very long.

Is Jack the Ripper still on the loose? I'm sure voter turnout will be low with him running around town!

Peckerwoods, contact the underground railroad before the balloting. We will help you escape the shackles of Kansas City.

It would nice to get "new" sidewalks, curbs and gutters, if we only had sidewalks, curbs and gutters. My poor Northland neighborhood is a whopping 6 miles from the steps of City Hall, but you would think we were out in the middle of nowhere. City services are far and few for us because we have POOR people living here. No influential residents to advocate on our behalf.

Good one, never gets old. Oh wait.

Interesting how Tony always gets a copy of the Remington polls....
