Like it or not, this is the least controversial of all Prez Trump's financial moves and something that Conservatives have advocated for years. TIGER grants have been the building blocks of the streetcar and now their use is under fire by the new administration.

Sly's Planned Indusrial Expansion Authority, PIEA, just gave $15 Million in tax breaks to an apartment developer on the Strretcar Line, 21st & Main. I thought when we spent $125 Million on a 2 mile toy train we wouldn't have to subsidize development along the route!! LIE!!!!

I don't have any beef against the street car or the arts programs. My only issue is why should ALL tax payers be forced to subsidize these endeavors rather than the street car paying its own way with rider fees and the arts programs being supported by generous donors who can CHOOSE to donate their hard earned money to the programs they see fit to support.
And before you box me into some label. I defy party lines.
- I believe in PERSONAL CHOICE over Government Choice
- I want to choose whether I abort or not
- I want to choose whether I buy a gun or not
- I want to choose if I live with my same sex or the opposite
- I want to choose if I believe in God or not without being labeled a tree hugger or a bible basher
- I want to choose whether my wages go to support one "charity" or another. Whether it is the "Charity" of paying for an arts program or a trolley car. I feel many of these programs could be funded through philanthropic endeavors rather than tax payers.
