THE KANSAS CITY TUESDAY TALKING POINT: IS 'GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY!!!' THE NEW MANTRA OF PREZ TRUMP SUPPORTERS???
Once again Kansas City is at the forefront of American political discourse as immigration reform promised by Prez Trump takes the blame for the hateful rhetoric which has accompanied recent violent attacks against immigrants by gunmen.
And so we ask our KICK-ASS TKC BLOG COMMUNITY . . .
HAS "GET OUT OF MY COUNTRY!!!" BECOME THE NEW RALLYING CRY OF VIOLENT PREZ TRUMP SUPPORTERS?!?!
Immigration reform is a divisive and complex topic. Even Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill is now flip-flopping on her immigration stance now that her reelection is threatened.
And to be clear . . . The Prez Trump Administration immigration crackdown isn't just focused on illegal aliens but threatens to CUT THE NUMBERS OF LEGAL IMMIGRANTS TO THE U.S. AS WELL.

The reality is that alleged hate crimes wherein gunmen target brown people and yell at them to "Get Out Of My County!!!" exemplifies the expression of anti-immigrant sentiment that has been ascribed to Prez Trump supporters.

For millions of Americans and even more people across the globe, these alleged hate crimes define the underlying motivation of the current Prez Trump immigration crackdown and there's very little argument or acknowledgement of this problem by more tolerant and reasonable advocates of Prez Trump who have FAILED to challenge popular conceptions.

Instead they just get defensive and act like snow flakes without any ability to defend their position. They can't debate, they can only yell and throw racist insults. We're in turmoil of overly stretched resources causing shortfalls for many of the essentials across the U.S., and having too many immigrants (AND illegals, especially) forces down wages and puts added stressors on public and private aid funds.
ReplyDeleteMagical, mystical forces aren't what ensures efforts for satisfactory health, education, welfare, roads, infrastructures, employment, trade, and natural resources. Responsible policymaking for fiscal and national security rightfully considers the nation's immigration laws.

ReplyDeleteUnless you can get classified as a "refugee", almost all require that working age people have a shortage job skill (like an scientist) and ALREADY have an in-country employer sponsoring you.
If you're a retiree, you need AT LEAST $500K in assets, in addition to being able to afford PRIVATE health care insurance (no U.S.-style Medicare for you!).
The U.S. is virtually alone among First World countries in allowing non-refugee unskilled immigrants and their families to come, then immediately draw public assistance.

The whole ordeal is a mess and I applaud and appreciate Trump for having the balls to tackle it. Like most, I have no problem with legal immigrants. But this whole excuse of entitlement is ridiculous. I get tired of hearing "they want a better life." Who doesn't? If my family is eating tuna casserole while my neighbor is eating steak, is it ok for my family to barge in at dinner time because we want better? Can I take my 10 year old Honda to the Jaguar dealer and demand an even trade for a new Jag because I want and deserve better? If my kids flunk out of high school can I just drop them off at Harvard and insist they be enrolled because it's their right to go there? It's stupid to even think about such things, much less attempt. If you're unhappy with your lot in life and want to better it, that's great. But do it the legal and right way.
