Kansas City Porsche Joyride Crash Report

Local Sunday drive news from the consumer class . . .

Jalopnik: "A member of the Porsche forum Rennlist left his 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS at the Bob Hindson Racing shop in Kansas City, Missouri, to have new headers, exhaust and a tune installed, but the shop owner hit a building while out on a drive and totaled the prized Porsche."

In fairness, let's hope it was as fun as one of the better 80s movie iconic joy rides.

  3. Bob Hinson had been around a few year before I started racing here in the Midwest back in the mid 70's. Rumors were floating around then about them. But face it, this happens more than most of us ever hear about. A hot special car hits any shop and you can bet there will be some unapproved liberties taken with said vehicle. Same goes for valet parking all over. To bad people can't just respect the property that belongs to others and treat it as it should be.

    1. Bob Hindson sold the shop many years ago and the new owner was allowed to retain the name. Don't drag him into this when you obviously have no facts to support anything you say.

For $250,000? Nuts. Save your money and but a Mercedes AMG C63 S- for about half of that.

Unsure why anyone would want a rear engine naturally aspired car..

  10. Bob Hindson has not been involved with the shop that bears his name for many years.
