Kansas City Green Tech Going Broke???

An important update from Jack Cashill on local "green" company . . . Not so much an indictment of the industry but the hard times of this company in particular that has been suffering from lack of demand. Take a look: Solyndra East? KC Solar Company in Near Total Eclipse

  2. They should have done an IPO.

You don't need to make a profit for that.

  4. I Remember when they used to promote their jobs/careers heavily around KCMO. It was branded as the "cool" and "hip" place to work. Sucking in urban millenials to the place. It was all about how different they were.

Well, thats neat and all, but its still solar. Remember Solyndra and all the other big investment boondoggles? The intent is great, but the reality is not clicking with people. Solar is still not practical. Maybe one day, but you just cant compete financially with other forms.

This will be a lesson for the young idealists who cant grasp realism yet.

  7. So, we can buy a good 32' $250. HDTV, but a decent solar panel that size is loads more to buy or LEASE! Greedy, gimmicky solar energy charlatans very often do not sell quality equipment outright, but only LEASE it. Look how great and long lasting some dinky China made yard lights are! Whudupwidat? !!! Some $1.99 deck and landscape lights outlasted $9.99 brands.

If sun sourced energy is so great, what solar enterprises are Warren and the wizzes of Wall St. invested in? When DiCaprio, Gore, and any other monied climate change hypers buy in big on solar, then we're convinced, huh? Sure thing, the average American would live well on the monthly spending by Leo or Al on their mansions' utilities payments and their luxury flights' fuel charges.
