Yes, the Kansas City hipster Mardi Gras parade is a longstanding tradition . . . Yes, they've marched at night before through the years.
However . . . This time, amid warmer weather . . . Kansas City hipsters celebrated an unsanctioned parade at night and walked from The Crossroads to 18th & Vine.
This is an important celebration to at least mention because, as usual, there wasn't a single instance of violence or trouble . . . Not even many noise complaints.
Whilst the financial development games amid the "East Crossroads" deserve skepticism . . . Consider this parade of AT LEAST 200 PEOPLE through urban core streets a proof of concept.

Didn't think anyone went there on purpose. The fact that there were no incidents lends credence to that idea.
