Another Chat With KCMO Mayor Sly James

In fairness to this town's top politico, he's always willing to engage in a game of softball. Here's his talk with very polite radio newsies in typical public radio hushed tones. Listen closely:

Mayor Sly James On The State Of KCMO, And Proposed East Side Development Tax

For Mayor Sly James, this has been a particularly busy time. On Tuesday evening, he gave his State of the City Address, which we discuss today, along with a bond proposal James says will trim, but not fix, a backlog of public works projects in Kansas City, Missouri.

  1. Did you notice how quickly Kraske cut in to interrupt the negative comments the mail carrier shared when calling in to the show?

Kraske is a front man, a propaganda agent for the KCMO status quo.

  5. Why would anyone vote for a tax to improve the Prospect corridor? A guaranteed waste of money. You would be better off buying lottery tickets or betting it all on a roulette table. You might at least get some return on your investment. Investing in Prospect absolutely guarantees a total loss.

  6. If you want a preview of what you'd get for your money if you voted for the "Prospect Corridor Project", just take a drive to Prospect and 63rd Street and take a look at the fabulous Citadel Plaza project that KCMO spent over $24 million of your tax money on.
It's just north of that intersection and the gas station on the corner.
Be sure not to get lost in the weeds or bitten by any snakes.
    It never changes.
