ReplyDeleteI am sure that many families will be impacted by deportation, and that is unfortunate. I hope that many will take the steps necessary to remain in this country legally, whether that means renewing a student or work visa, applying for a green card, or beginning the citizenship process.
Trump claims his deportation efforts have targeted drug dealers and gang members,and hopefully that is true, but there will be others who are impacted as well and I'm not sure we can count on leniency from the President. He ended DACA, which was a good program. I hope Congress can replace with with something similar and permanent.

Obama did not deport more illegal entrants than any other President. His numbers look higher because his administration changed the way they're counted. Before Obama, illegals caught at the border and refused entry ("turnbacks") were not counted as deportees. Obama changed that - his administration began including the number of turnbacks in deportation figures. It was just another lie.
