Missouri's highest ranking Democratic Party lady sends out a great many pressers . . . But this is the most interesting as of late:

Sen. Claire McCaskill: A ban that makes America less safe

President Trump’s entry ban on immigrants and travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries – and refugees from anywhere – is making our country less safe, and has compromised our most sacred values.

This ban has handed a potent recruiting tool to international terrorists by communicating that America is at war with Muslims.

And in addition to refugees, it’s left behind even those Muslims who put their lives, and the lives of their families, at risk to help American military servicemembers in war zones. This weekend, on U.S. soil, our government detained and handcuffed an Iraqi translator who risked his life to support U.S. troops. It’s appalling.

The notion that our government would prioritize one religion for admittance to our nation flies in the face of our sacred, founding values of liberty and freedom of religion.

We cannot, and I will not, sit idly by while this happens. As the top-ranking Democrat on the Homeland Security Committee, I’ve demanded a meeting with DHS Secretary Kelly. I’ll be fighting, and I urge you to pick up the phone and call the White House, write letters and emails, march – use your voice to speak out for what’s right.

I hope our fellow Missourians will realize Claire needs to retire....don't let her win another election she is worthless to Missouri

I wonder just what our sacred values are?
Is it suicide? Because that's what Europe is doing. For a United States senator to promote abd demand that we bring into this country a never ending supply of third world problems while ignoring the fact that we can't even take care of our own people, says a lot about the political left
Mccaskill mistakes the rioters as the majority of public opinion
The plain truth is that Islam is a cancer and she wants to help spread it
Before Obama, Islam in America was limited to but balls like Louis Farrakhan. Now we look around wonder how the Mideast got moved here
Thanks democrats

The travel ban does not include countries which have caused problems with terrorism for the US. Most of the 9-11 terrorists were from Saudi Arabia which was not included. We shouldn't just issue travel bans Willy nilly. It fucks up peoples lives for no reason and only causes more resentment toward the US unnecessarily. Many MDs come to the US from all 4 corners of the world, for example, and serve communities which would otherwise have no medical care. If you or a loved one had a serious illness you would want access to a medical doctor.

in opposition to missouri majority.

It's hard to take anything seriously or as a good faith comment when the opposition is obstructionist and encouraging chaos.

You make a valid point about highly educated professions
But how many people from those countries are actual doctors and many were only taught the Koran? That is the central point
I don't expect a doctor to build bomb vests but I do have a healthy skeptisism when I see mile long parade of military age men pouring into Europe just before major terrorist attacks occur

Making our country less safe?

Obviously her mind is totally gone.

7:23, how fortuitous that you should bring up our need for more trained doctors. But the culprit in denying entry to doctors is Obama, not Trump. When Obama stopped the Cuban refugee "wet foot/dry foot" policy, he also squelched a program that gave preferential refugee treatment to Cuban doctors. Obama reasoned that the Cuban people needed those doctors (heck with the American people I guess.

As to the remainder of your post, the seven countries mentioned in the Executive Order were the same seven that were identified in legislation signed by Obama. While it would have been great to extend the entry ban beyond those countries, the administration felt that they needed statutory authority as a basis for the EO. This is of course in contrast to Obama, who issued executive orders based on nothing but his personal sense of kingship.
