SHOW-ME MAYOR SHUNNED BY NEW MISSOURI GOV. GREITENS?!?

They say that elections have consequences . . . That are probably worsened by Mayor Sly playing Kansas City protester-in-chief as of late. Take a look at a fun factoid that one of you d-bags mentioned in the comments: Kansas City mayor struggles for face time with new Missouri governor

Comments

  1. Without KC and StL, the only prosperous major cities in this state, Missouri would be just another poverty stricken shithouse like Mississippi.

The governor would be wise to remember that.

  2. Kansas City is prosperous? Then why are they asking for approval of a $800,000,000 bond package? And St. Louis is fiscally in even worse shape than Kansas City. If you want to see prosperous cities, look to some of the suburbs surrounding those wastelands.

  3. Greitens didn't become governor because of voters in KC or STL.
The mayors would be wise to remember THAT!
And the state government has numerous legislative tools to use to attract and subsidize the corporations that generate jobs and taxes.
They might even have the common sense to support small business, which generates the great majority of jobs.
But the state doesn't appear very interested in subsidizing sports stadiums, authorizing cities to increase minimum wages, be sanctuary cities for illegals, worry about transgender bathrooms, and all the other marginal issues that people like Sly are trying to ride to their next elected position.
Cities aren't even mentioned in the Constitution and have only the authorities given them by state governments.
Folks who may come to think of themselves as big deals locally really need to be serious and keep in mind how things really work.

  4. Without a solid governor KCMO would be a ghetto ridden, crime ridden, black ridden, gang ridden, drug ridden, murder ridden.......oh wait!

  5. Actually, 7:58, the opposite is true. KC and STL are driving the state downward.

  6. Glad to see Sly starting to squirm a little bit. Long overdue.

  7. I wonder which face he would use for the meeting; or would it be both of them.

  8. Greitens runs KC now. Not Slie and crew!

  9. I thought Councilwoman Heather Hall was a power player in conservative politics and a friend of the Governor. She can't make a meeting happen?

  10. maybe Sly should quit trying to screw the residents of KC and Greitens would meet with him

You people need to call the governor and DEMAND that I get a big fat PAY RAISE. I am a MIZZOU GRAD who times STOPLIGHTS in ST JOSEPH.

Currently enjoying the nice busy downtown scene in KC. Stop by to get down on your hands and knees and sing my praises if you see me.
Downtown is packed so is the Street Car. How does it feel Trolls?

You know, downtown KC is sure busy today. The Street Car is packed. Bunches of people at PL and Bartle. Not to mention Municipal which is where I am supporting Roo Basketball. Stop by if you're downtown and tell me how much you admire and respect genius MIZZOU state Engineers like me.

It must suck to be so pathological about downtown and the Street Car like you Trolls are.

  15. I am sure Greitens and Trump saw our less than Mensa mayor protesting Trump at the airport and many people sent pics of this to Trump and Greitens. Neither has an incentive to help him... quite the opposite- they will help replace the Mayor.
Let's face it - crime in KC is horrible- taxes sky high with an unfair 1% earnings tax that will soon be gone- a street car promising prosperity that is black hole money vaccum and costs way more than taxes generated- a city that doesn't educate its youth to college-ready levels- and now its fearful leader Sly wines and cries when the state leader won't spend time with him- hell I wouldn't either.

Sky needs to put his big boy pants on- realize he is a cancer to Republicans- and figure out a way to reduce crime without begging for more money... what a pathetic public prepubescent shame of a beggar.

Vote Republican and help get leadership in KC and make KC great again!!

  16. MR MODOT STOPLIGHTS - no, I'm not going to contact the governor and DEMAND that you get a big fat PAY RAISE. Instead, I'm going to call the governor and DEMAND that he FIRE you and REPLACE you with an H1A visa Engineer from India. Isn't that in keeping with your Progressive open borders agenda?

  17. Not exactly, if you knew anything about the labor Struggle you'd know progressive s are full on capitalist. It's strange conservatism died.
