In a stunning display about why Democrats LOST AN EPIC VICTORY AGAINST PREZ TRUMP . . . A Kansas City blogger is displaying his ignorance and attempting to co-opt the struggle of the African-American community for diversity and inclusion - A big goal from an avowed white dude from Brookside.
Usually we attempt to aim upward in our criticism but this bit of racial identity politics co-opted by a middle-aged white man is so ridiculous that it deserves to be noted . . .
Here's one of the most childish statements from the local blog community we've seen in quite a long time . . . Which is actually a notable achievement:
MO RAGE: "Both news weekly programs on KCPT this week were lily-white, bleached Caucasians. Yet again. One more time. Not one "person of color." No one from any minority other than one woman on each show."
The reply from any reasonable person:
SILLY AND SHAMELESS WHITE DUDE MO RAGE DEMANDS MINORITY QUOTAS — AN OUTDATED AND UNPRODUCTIVE CONCEPT THAT HAS BEEN ABANDONED IN FAVOR OF PROMOTING REAL DIVERSITY THAT ONLY SERVES TO STRENGTHEN INSTITUTIONS!!!

The outmoded quota system that MO Rage advocates seems to mistakenly believe that every public presentation should be staffed with a crew that looks like the cast from Star Trek . . .
Fact is . . .
So many white NFL fans & NBA fans along with the legion of minorities (like TKC) who still watch Friends/Seinfeld reruns don't really care about quotas but would rather enjoy people competing at the top of their game regardless of demographic considerations.
What's worse is that MO Rage doesn't allow any reply, comment or challenge to his desperate cry for attention and instead would rather pout via a social media echo chamber instead of defend his ideas . . . To be fair, that's pretty standard for Kansas City politics where any real debate is actively discouraged.
And so, at the very least, we must thank MO Rage for revealing his outdated, condescending and myopic views on race relations and endorsement of quotas that actually only serve to limit minorities from dominating their chosen profession in much the same way that middle-class white people are trying desperately to hold back Asians from dominating the Ivy Leagues . . . And/or why the Pitch would rather go out of business by way of Barb Shelly screeds then (politely) ask TKC (powered by a blog community of tens of thousands of daily readers) to write a column for some pocket money every now and then.

Talk radio in KC is a better example. it's all white there, just a couple of part time sports talk minorities.

ReplyDeleteIt's accepted, encouraged racism from blacks, browns and whites against whites, who use this cudgel to further their own careers by way of government sponsored discrimination against those whites who are silent on racial politics, or disagree with the Liberal/Progressive narrative that all whites must bear responsibility for slavery (Even if you are a direct descendent from Abraham Lincoln.) into infinity.
It's a money maker, especially for traditional under-achievers whose utilitarian or scholastic efforts heretofore would come up short.

I’m pissed of that there are no Jews in the NBA and no black violinists in major symphonies. I am pissed off they won’t let Asian women be NASCAR drivers. Did Missouri Rage ever hear of Darwin? Life is unfair, that is one of the fundamental truths of life and any attempt to make life fair results in putting someone at a disadvantage.
