Kansas City Prez Trump Immigration Crackdown Travel Ban Ruckus Tonight

The GOLD STANDARD in Kansas City political discourse offers a timely chat for this evening as a US Appeals Court rejects the bid to reinstate President Trump's travel ban.

Accordingly, tonight Ruckus features a conversation regarding the unbearable lightness of GOP hegemony and the horrific responsibility of governing over campaigning.

Check the description:

Mike Shanin interviews Todd Graves, Chair of the Missouri GOP, about the party's top priorities in the state. Then Mike Sanders, Gwen Grant, Ron Freeman and Danedri Herbert discuss the future of the Democratic Party both locally and nationally, the challenges facing Republicans in Kansas and the battle over federal funding for sanctuary cities that provide safe harbor for undocumented immigrants.

  1. Don't be so literary. The reality is that Missouri rejected Hillary Clinton and the Democratic party in November of 2016. That's where we need to start from. Not protests, not pouting over the popular vote but a real world look at why the Democrats lost - Because they are out of touch with most voters in this nation with the exception of California.

  3. Discerning Ruckus viewers will have noted a glaring fact which tells you everything you need to know before these panelists speak.

    2 Democrats and 2 Republicans.

Both Democrats are sporting hair appliances, or perhaps are undisclosed paid spokespersons for The Hair Club For Democratic Men and Women.

Yes, I find it odd that the Democrats are unable to accept reality and venture forth in public, even appearing on public television, while decked out in a poorly disguised hair hat! I knew that many Democrats are afflicted by a crippling fear of inadequacy and secretly hate themselves, but playing make-believe with a mop on your head is not a good look for anyone. Gwen Grant could be bold and start appearing with a close shave or totally bald head. It would be a surprise for a couple of days, but then as long as she owned it, people would respect her and say she's got guts. Sanders has no excuse, as it started becoming fashionable to see plenty of bald men back in the 80's.

Danedri Herbert and Ron Freeman ruled the Ruckus roost this week. Congratulations to Danedri on your position at The Sentinel.

Release the bald heads and be yourself!

Mike Shanin "Will"ed his way through this episode.

  6. 10:07: Good summary except for Danedri Herbert. She came across as even more of an airhead than Mary O.
