Kansas City needs more hotel money. That's the real story here. This is just another bait and switch item that uninformed voters will support.

ReplyDeleteWhy hasn't the Council pushed the proper appropriations on this? Why are we settling for a blank check? What else are they working on that they can't take time to get into specifics?
So far, the lack of detail is that main complaint that I've heard about this. They've told us that they'll spend money on the dog shelter and we really do need a new one. But so far that's it. The other projects are just promises and nothing more.
The best bet is to vote no. Let them come back to the drawing board with some real details.
