Howard Stern Star This Weekend At Stanfords

There has been no bigger radio star ever than Howard Stern. Stern's top co star over the years was funny man John Melendez, 'Stuttering John'..15 years on the show before leaving to join Jay Leno on the Tonight Show as his comedy co star and a writer. No he doesn't stutter during his act and boy is he funny. John became known as the top 'celebrity ambush' interviewer during that run. Raquel Welch even punched him in the face and sent John to the hospital when he asked her, "How they hanging Raquel" BANG! He asked attorney Robert Shapiro, "so would you have represented Adolf Hitler for the right price?"

Melendez also costarred in the hit movie about Stern, 'Private Parts' and co starred with Howard on their E network tv series. John also spent time doing standup on Conan as well as writing for the show. Today he is doing stand up in casino's usually in Las Vegas, but decided to get out and do some top clubs around the nation. This will be Melendez's first time to KC as he does his thing at Stanfords this weekend. His shows are Friday and Saturday at 745 and 945. John wowed them on KCTV 5 morning show on Thursday, he is a horse of a different color in comedy, very sharp.
John really did have a stuttering problem as a young man and today speaks to groups all over the country on overcoming the speech problem as he did. He and Howard were on the outs when John went to do the Tonight Show as a regular but today they have made up and are still good friends.

Next week Dustin Diamond will finally make it in again. He is talking about his much publicized run in with the law last year. Yes he was 'Screech' on the long running series, 'Saved By The Bell'....he is not Screech on stage, he is 'adult funny.' Also coming up for Valentines night and week is a new hot star, Adam Newman, HBO'S Silicon Valley and often co host on @Midnight. Adam is being tabbed as a new version of Jerry Seinfeld, his two new specials on Netflix are off the chain. Also coming up is Chris Rock's youngest brother, Jordon Rock, has his own tv series, he is a chip off the block of Chris. Enjoy the Super Bowl.
