Jolie might be one of the worst in-district council members we've ever head. She should have ran at large because she's great at acting like a mini-mayor but horrible when it comes to some of the basic, mundane local concerns.

ReplyDeleteLoving Jolie and her politics ignores the fact that she's on the public payroll of a municipality and has actual responsibilities for governing a city.
She was a complete joke as the chair of the Public Safety Task Force and is now dabbling in the airport issue about which she has no expertise whatsoever.
If someone like this wants to address national social issues, she needs to either run for an appropriate office or get hired by one of the infinite number of special interest nonprofits.
But the taxpayers in KCMO are paying her to do her current job, not use it as a platform for her own personal beliefs and agenda.
Likable clearly doesn't mean competent or even relevant.

ReplyDeleteJolie Justus = self-proclaimed homosexual trailblazer (keep your sex life to yourself, nobody cares) who swore allegiance to Hillary Clinton, and since Clinton was clobbered in November, Justus should resign and slink away. She's Sly James' puppet.
ReplyDeleteWhy in the Hell is Jon Stephens invited on this show so often? He's a Prairie Village PR flack who TOTALLY SERVES AS A MOUTHPIECE for KCMO City Hall and corporate interests. You always know what he's going to say before he opens his paid-for mouth.
Patrick McInerney, while an otherwise intelligent guy, is among the KCMO Democratic Party business class who feeds off of the corruption and dysfunction which is KC government. This is the group which personally benefits by maintaining the status quo whereby a small cadre of well-to-do interests pull the strings, while keeping the East-side subjugated, the West-side under-represented, and the North largely ignored.
Any Ruckus without Mary/Maury the Mouth and Gwen/Glenn "hair hat" Grant is a good Ruckus.

ReplyDeleteI'll bet you didn't know that part of her council district is North of the River. We were sliced and diced to be included in the 4th District, and we have absolutely NOTHING in common with the district south of the river. It's kind of funny that streets and SIDEWALKS are such an issue for the Council, when we don't have any sidewalks. The streets are narrow with no gutters. Jolie should take a tour of her ENTIRE district sometime.
