The desperate attempt to sell more EMPTY Downtown Kansas City condos, lofts and apartments is ramping up at the bubble of irrational exuberance and old plans that never materialized keeps getting bigger: More people are packing up, selling their homes and moving to the city to live the life of luxury

  3. When they turn 40 the income will begin to decrease rapidly and they will be moving to the shingled duplex in the burbs. Then what was once luxury condos will become headline projects. More brilliant forethought in KC.

  9. Why would anyone want to live downtown? I spent part of two days down there a while back and saw nothing that would make me want to live there. You will have to go out the the burbs to do any decent shopping I mean outside of Planters and some bars just what does downtown have to offer?

  11. Or try the city market's most expensive section 8 housing being built on 2nd and Delaware. That'll curl your toes if you're dropping good chunk of money to live in the area.
