ReplyDeleteFunny thing is if you asked Republicans when was America better, the 1950s or right now I bet it would almost be unanimously said by them the 1950s. You know, the same 1950s when American union membership was over a third of the population. Too blind to see high wages is good for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with that is Unions are no longer 1/3 of the population. However half the population is overpaying so very few can stay in Unions and milk the golden goose. When you figure that 80 percent of union membnership is government workers the citizens are actually being screwed royally by the Unions.
ReplyDeleteOzzie & Hariette days are over. The Hagg's "Big City" lyrics tells it. Plus, in Happy Days U.S.A. the trades locals and some internationals picketed for each other. Their credit unions, churches, and clients gave support or made loans. It's more of the ME & MINE motto now.
ReplyDeleteYep, the UAW, FD, PD, Brotherhoods of Whatever paid decent enough for post WW2 America to have moms at home. Selfish and hedonist crap caused divorce, abortion, and moral decay. FUBAR fools got us botoxed grannies and miniature trannies (FOUR -- YES, FUCKIN FOUR YEAR OLDS!!!).
ReplyDeleteJapan got built and boosted back by U.S. after we bombed each other in that 2nd big wigout. Machinists', policemen's, and fireguys' sons and such went to college and came back with riceburners and vw beetles. We cut the middle-class in quick trade and wage lopsided deals.
