WHEN DID KANSAS CITY MOTORISTS FORGET HOW TO DRIVE IN WINTER???

Just a quick aftermath of the very first 2016 cold weather bad driving today . . .

A bit of fog and slick streets created panic on local streets this morning as KCMO drivers proved incapable of dealing with typical December weather.

In fairness, there was also a car fire that freaked everybody out.

However, this first morning freeze performance for Kansas City drivers doesn't bode well for the upcoming Winter months and begs a question . . .

WHEN DID KANSAS CITY LOSE WINTER DRIVING SKILL???

This isn't just nostalgia . . . Local motorists seem far less equipped to deal with inclement conditions on local streets.

It could be a testament to worse upkeep from KCMO or simply cold weather freezing hands and making texting whilst driving harder.

You decide . . .

  2. I agree with 8:19 the jerks around here can't drive right when the streets are clear and dry.

  3. Take the untagged and illegally tagged vehicles off the streets and you'll eliminate 30 percent of the problem. The same bumb with
no insurance tags, license etc. will have the same lack of regard for driving rules.

  5. driving has really really deteriorated over the past ten years, for sure.

red-light and stop sign running is almost the norm.

woe be to the car between a driver in a hurry and their destination.

add in the texters driving doen the middle of the road or sitting at a stoplight to finish their message.

self-driving cars can't come too soon.

  6. I saw a 86 Monte Carlo with T Dog and J Drugs speeding down Troost loosing control. They crashed and swallowed their crack rock then went to Gates and robbed it with Tyrone Jenkins.

  7. they probably forgot the same time they forgot how to drive in summer. I blame it on defective educations.

  8. I blame 4-wheel drive and soccer moms, who for some reason have concluded that cars with all wheels engaged means ice isn't slippery.
