KANSAS CITY MEDIA GOSSIP: GARY AMBLE STAYS WINNING PRIME TIME WHILST CHRIS SUCHAN NO LONGER WEATHERMAN CHIEF!!!
More than a few Kansas City media denizens have been asking about KCTV5 reshuffling for quite some time.
A media website wonders if Suchan was demoted . . .
"While he used to refer to himself as "Chief Meteorologist" on his professional Facebook page. But, now he has changed it to just "Meteorologist." Also, is bio on KCTV's website no longer makes mention of him being the "Chief."
Our blog community also notices that KCTV5 Weather Dude Gary Amble has been moved to prime time broadcasts over the past few days . . . And once again Kansas City news watchers are forced to live without the much more entertaining hysterics of Katie Horner.
Amid wild winter weather, we'll always miss her hotness . . .

Don't know any of the inside gossip, but as an occasional viewer, here's my 2 cents:
ReplyDeleteSuchan is a big guy. He shouldn't wear a hairpiece on-air, but should go with a crewcut or shave his head. He could carry it off because he's a tall strong guy. Channel 41 weather used to brag that they were KC's most accurate, but Suchan dethroned them as he's a competitive guy. Now 41 has nearly completely turned over their weather department. KCTV5 should give Suchan free rein to build their ratings.
Don't beleive the so called best in Kansas city hype. That company that says that is paid to by the station and if your the only station paying them then your the best.

ReplyDeleteKCTV 5 went totally Down Hill years ago, when they started catering & pandering to that pathetic Communist O'bama and his Communist crowd .
ReplyDeleteWhen KCTV 5 took away their comment section and were busy Censoring everybody and their comments last January, they lost all credibility as a decent news station with decent reporters & anchors !
Now KCTV 5 is nothing but cheesy Talking heads, and News Anchors & Reporters all transplanted here from other areas of the country, the majority aren't even from around here originally.
KCTV 5 has went so far down hill its pathetic , from the days wendall & ann were on there for decades !
Those New Younger reporters they transferred in from other parts of the country are pathetic to say the least !
KCTV 5 just plain Sucks as well as does KMBC CH9 anymore !!!!
KCTV is a small market operation in a mid-sized market. They just can not get the package together to produce a level of quality that looks like anything more than a 1980s cheezy assed local cable channel, even though they have been recruiting same decent talent from outside the metro. However, KC broadcasting is not exactly a bed of broadcasting production excellence.
ReplyDeleteI will give KCTV one thing and that is they have actually unchained Lisa Teachman, since her exile from the Busby queendom. She is actually showing that she is much more versatile and has a lot more personality than she was ever allowed to demonstrate under the reigns of the weather god at 9.
The often fucked then passed around Ms. Katie has a Negro ex who is passing around nudie photos of her on some amateur nude web sites. Naughty boy John.

ReplyDeleteAll good, I just think the geography area covered is too large. Breaking into regular shows to tell KC there is a storm approaching Chillicothe while the radar shows nothing near KC is stupid.
