Jackson County Jail Remodeling Bond???

After a year of tragic sexual assault allegations against female inmates and repeated allegations of corruption . . . The County is ready to start over, with help from the taxpayers of course . . .

Examiner: Bond mulled for jail projects

Intro:

"Jackson County legislators are discussing going to the voters for a bond issue to pay for major work on the county jail and perhaps other projects. Legislators point out that they are nowhere near having enough information to even decide whether to stick with the current building at 13th and Cherry in downtown Kansas City – which officials say is built in a way that makes operations inefficient – or to look at a new facility."

  1. Maybe they shouldn't have spent money for a bicycle trail from Lee's Summit to the stadium. Use Combat money rather than spending it on "Creative Cooking for Cons". Kick Tindall and all the other cronies out of the courthouse and use their salaries. C'mon folks, there's plenty of other ideas rather then a bond issue.

  2. Lord, not again.

We do not need a new jail -- and certainly we do not need an additional jail out in the 'burbs.

We need to spend the money for training and salaries for the staff.

  4. It's a jail and was designed and built as a jail.
How can its design be inefficient for the operations it was designed for?
Don't the JaCo executive and legislature have any understanding, oversight, or ability to manage anything?
How's the obsolete easily-hackable online tax payment system doing?
    What a ship of fools!
