Where Are They Now? Former Councilman Troy Nash Now Motivates Kansas City

Here's a guy who probably should have been Mayor of Kansas City if not for a minor media scandal back when media scandals actually used to matter.

On the bright side, we're glad to see the the one-time elected official still possesses a great attitude and he's helping bring a desperately needed upbeat message to the world with his consulting and motivational biz.

Troy Nash: "My vision and mission in life is to share my personal story of defying the odds and overcoming negative stereotypes to improve the lives of others and encourage people to get more out of life. Understanding nobody can do anything by his or herself, I want to inspire people to work with one another and make the world a better place for all of us. I want to Bring Motivation To The World!!"

The many people who know Mr. Nash understand that he comes form a different era of City Council when the reporting, decisions and discussion was far more in-depth. Normally I worry about posting this kinda stuff because of the spammer trolls but it seems like Mr. Nash is well equipped to move past the haters given his focus achieving goals.

If you can't tell already . . . TKC thinks the guy is one of the very few role models in Kansas City and we wish him luck with all of his future endeavors.

  1. Troy had his good moments. He certainly was more connected to the community than about half the council people currently on board.

  2. Maybe he could start his efforts to "motivate the world" by motivating folks on the east side to stop killing each other with such reckless regularity.
Even get a contract from KCMO or COMBAT.
It couldn't possibly be a bigger waste of money than the way the hundreds of million of tax dollars are spent on "ant-crime" programs now.

  4. No more easy Zimmer job?
I suppose when they merged in 2014 they started cutting off dead wood.......

He will run for office in 2 years because he is a lazy shit.

  5. Tony, please! WTF? Are you serious or are you just doing a motivational post to get us going?
Troy is a terrible person. He is just awful. He has very few scruples.

You is just messing with us!

    Okay, got it...!
No real friend would let a friend create that bullshit vanity promo piece! So over the top!

  10. Slow news day? Should have been Mayor....uhhh no. Leave his City Council past back in the 1990's. Kansas City is thankful he's no longer in our spotlight. We dont care what he does everywhere else.

  11. Isn't this the same guy who rejected the most qualified person to lead the Boys and Girls Club because the person wasn't black?
