SHOW-ME MISSOURI REPUBLICANS GLOATING OVER HARD RIGHT TURN AND DEMISE OF THE KANSAS CITY STAR!!!

Last month our blog community was the FIRST to preview the HARD RIGHT TURN OF THE KANSAS CITY STAR . . . Over the weekend a slate of GOP endorsements irked Kansas City's Democratic Party elite and denizens.

The reality . . . Newspaper endorsements no longer drive votes they're pretty much a legacy of machine politics which are now run by way of e-mail.

Nevertheless . . .

KANSAS CITY NORTHLAND MISSOURI STATE SENATOR RYAN SILVEY GLOATS OVER THE KANSAS CITY STAR ENDORSING ROY BLUNT AND EVOKES SOCIAL MEDIA OUTRAGE!!!

Check the offending tweet . . .

It's a good look at a lack of class sportsmanship from a GOP dude disliked by most of his own party because of his pro-union votes.

Worse still . . . The hard right turn of the Kansas City Star hasn't inspired much excitement among Conservatives and mostly rage among their longtime progressive readers.

Still, the myth of a "moderate" has been mostly destroyed by this divisive election as dividing lines continue to be drawn across Kansas City.

  1. I won't be renewing my subscription to the Star but I will be voting for Blunt.

  2. Silvey needs a better suit if he's going to gloat.

  3. I'll believe The Star has turned "hard right" when they run press releases from the Show-Me Institute disguised as news.

    You know?

  4. Just like Google they waited until after the check had cleared.

  5. What is the Star?

  6. The Star's endorsements still contradict the true grassroots conservative agenda. Praise for Roy Blunt, Sam Graves, and Jerry Moran were for the pork they brought home and the regulations they created. The endorsements primarily touted many examples of 'across the aisle' legislative accomplishments, which is simply more big government and new borrow & spend.

The Star hasn't changed their desire for more government spending. The entitled GOP elites in DC have. Party label doesn't matter as long as they just keep sending us money for pork projects (like light rail).

Trump's upcoming electoral win of Missouri and Kansas should be accompanied by the ousting of both states entire Congressional delegations.

Blunt, Graves, Cleaver, Hartzler, Moran, Yoder, & Jenkins - You're Fired. Throw all the bums out. Consider it voter enforced term limits. Enough of nearly 100% return of all representatives that would make the Politburo jealous. Washington won't change until the swamp is drained and the old guard is out.

  7. They have not made a HARD right as long as their dreamer and chief is Narley Snatcheeze.

  8. Who reads the star? Who would believe anything they printed anyway. A NO vote and a vote against all incumbents is the only way.
