Another end of an era for the newspaper as we turn the page on a beloved Kansas City writer who spent the last 10 years writing a great deal about his cat . . . Which is kinda ahead of the current digital media epoch . . . All things considered: C.W. Gusewelle, legendary columnist for The Star, dies

Sorry to hear this, he was a wonderful writer for decades at the Kansas City Star. He will be missed.

I used to like his columns until I found out that he was a complete fraud: the dude never owned a dog . . .

I remember a great line from one of his opinion pieces where he said: "The people who tell you to pull yourself by your bootstraps control the supply of bootstraps."

Overrated gun control dude. Just because he hunted did not make him an authority on the rights we have to keep and bear arms.
