  1. For years the city used the police department to write tickets and generate revenue. Crime was ignored in favor of revenue raising.

  2. Officers being required to make quotas for writing tickets led to unfair tickets being written. Tickets written for yellow lights forced drivers to slam on brakes instead of clearing the intersection. Rear-end collisions increase. Yellow light times were shortened to produce more tickets. City prosecutors and courts went along with the scam. Developer priorities rule. Most of Clowncil went along. Crime being ignored leads to record murder rates. When the corrupt are in charge the most vulnerable suffer.

  3. If you gave KCPD a Billion dollars it would make no difference in crime, they would just buy more toys, take home cars, and raise their salaries.

  4. The state needs to take over KC. I'm sure some clear thinking rural folks could come up with some dandy solutions to KC's issues.

  5. I'd be careful what you wish for, @10:36am.
It's small town rural folks who brought the rubes in KCMO the streetcar fiasco.

  6. The state wants no part of KC and St Louis. Both are failures and when they go bankrupt the state can blame Democrats.

  7. No one has any confidence in KCPD anymore.

  8. Let's go with fewer police officers and expanding the trolley.
