Why is there even westport security if they can't do their jobs?
ReplyDeleteA few years back, Westport opted to employ a less aggressive, mall security type strategy. They hired a rent a guard company and discouraged the proactive patrols that involved routine vehicle and pedestrian checks. I'm sure there has been a reduction in lawsuits due to the less aggressive nature of security. What they failed to realize is how many homicides, assaults and rapes those tactics disrupted and prevented.
ReplyDeleteThis city could have made Westport great years ago but didn't realize what it had. Instead it directed resources elsewhere to create boondoggles like 18th and Vine and Power&Light.

One of Westport security's jobs was to keep statistics low. If they handled the "crime" they handled the numbers. So it has now escalated out of control so what is the answer. Hiding the dirt allowed an accumulation of dirt. So flush the whole mess down the toilet. Go there at your own risk.
