Sen. Elizabeth Warren Joins In Kansas City Love Fest For Kander Senate Run

A well-attended fundraiser last night in Kansas City kicked off a week of local events for this rising star politico . . . While Sen. Blunt is keeping company with Trump. Here's the latest that deserves a look at Kansas City Democrats rally for one of this town's favorite elected officials.

Special Event: Senator Elizabeth Warren Comes to Kansas City

The momentum to get Jason Kander elected to the US Senate continues to build. National pundits have said this race is a "toss up" and one of the biggest surprises of the election cycle. The national attention is now turned to our state and Senator Warren will be here to rally voters to do their part. Let's draw a great crowd and support Jason! 3pm, Friday October 14 at the College Basketball Experience, 1401 Grand Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64106

A U.N. survey listed corruption and insecurity as the two issues of greatest concern to Afghans as of 2012. The New York Times has written that in Afghanistan, "corruption can no longer be described as a cancer on the system: It is the system." The U.S. Agency for International Development stated in 2009 that corruption in Afghanistan had "become pervasive, entrenched, systemic, and by all accounts now unprecedented in scale and reach."

A February 2014 Pentagon report charged the U.S. government with upholding a government that is enveloped in corruption in Afghanistan after the 2001 invasion through its support for warlords, its reliance on private trucking contracts, and its provision of billions of aid dollars. Initially, the U.S. supported existing patronage networks and gave some warlords government positions. This legitimization of warlords allowed them to begin using their official power to embezzle public resources. Also, because large amounts of official resources were diverted to the post-war rebuilding effort, many government workers found themselves severely underpaid and felt obliged to take bribes in order to survive.

Next, let's look at drug trafficking in Afghanistan.

Opium production in Afghanistan has been on the rise since U.S. occupation started in 2001. Based on UNODC data, opium poppy cultivation was more in each of the growing seasons in the periods between 2004 and 2007 than in any one year during Taliban rule. More land is now used for opium (heroin) in Afghanistan than is used for coca (cocaine) cultivation in Latin America. In 2007, 92% of the non-pharmaceutical-grade opiates on the world market originated in Afghanistan. This amounts to an export value of about $4 billion, with a quarter being earned by opium farmers and the rest going to district officials, insurgents, warlords, and drug traffickers. In addition to opiates, Afghanistan is also the largest producer of cannabis (mostly as hashish) in the world.

If Jason Kander chose to highlight his work against corruption and drug trafficking in Afghanistan, and it was all a complete failure, then why should Missourians send him to the U.S. Senate to fail there?

TRUTHSEEKER says, go to this website and discover who's lying to Missouri voters: https://www.jasonkander.com/meet-jason/

It's right there at the very top!

"Meet Jason Kander"
"A husband, a father, a former Army Captain who served in Afghanistan, and Missouri’s Secretary of State, Jason Kander is a fifth-generation Missourian running to represent all of us in the United States Senate."

"Fifth-generation Missourian"? Jason Kander? I don't think so!

His Wikipedia page here (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Kander) directly contradicts Jason Kander's claim on his campaign site.
"Jason Kander was born on May 4, 1981, in Overland Park, Kansas, the son of Janet and Steve Kander. He graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1999."
Now to be clear, Bishop Miege is a fine high school, but it is in Kansas. Besides growing up in Kansas, Kander also voted in Kansas and got married in Kansas. So, Jason Kander, why are you hiding your Kansas heritage by continually lying to Missouri voters and the press?

"In Afghanistan, Jason investigated groups and individuals suspected of corruption, espionage, drug trafficking, and facilitating Al Qaeda and the Taliban."

For years, Kander has told the lie that he joined the military shortly after September 11, 2001. He's always wanted the public to believe that his patriotism led him to military service in the days and weeks following the 9/11 attacks. While we commend him for his eventual service, the fact is that Kander didn't actually deploy and serve until Spring/Summer 2005 after he had completed law school. This has been confirmed by his own wife and records. Kander's personal ambition came first, ahead of country.

10:52....so her IQ is twenty times yours....I get it.

A rather tone deaf move. Being associated with Elizabeth Warren will hurt, not help, Kander.

1:11, agreed - she will invigorate the socialist base, but they were going to vote for Kander anyway. The as yet undecideds are the ones Kander needs to reach, and I would bet that they do not think highly of Sen. Fauxcahontas from Taxachusetts.

Senator Elizabeth Warren brings it when doing her job of representing us.
As an example, watch her hold the Wells Fargo CEO's feet to the fire last month.

10:52, Name the Rhodes scholar, with a reported I.Q. of at least 137 (most often published rate) or up to 152 (was it some MENSA groupies making plays for notice and payola?). Hint: he got impeached, disbarred, and proven an adulterous liar.

Does intelligence get a pass in your world, just because you favor Faux-chahontas?

1:50. Nice try. Both parties were beating on the Wells Fargo guy like he was a human punching bag.

2:17: Personally I prefer clay-eating, hookworm-infested white trash politicians, and I've been given two such candidates just this year to vote for--Blunt and Trump. Who could ask for anything more?
