So every week you must make certain racial quotas are met? Most of the so called black leaders mostly sell out to the white crony capitalists anyway. So why not cut out the middle man and just have Jim Heeter tell us what he wants since his organization owns most of the black leaders.

ReplyDeleteWhat a racist. So there is usually minority representation each week. One week there isn't and he complains that they "let a Libertarian on the show." What if it was a black libertarian?

ReplyDeleteThe complaint was about last night's show and not about Ruckus in general. In fact, the post is partially in praise of Ruckus and KCPT. I mean, Jesus, Tony...this is the first paragraph (and I don't even have to click the link to see it):
"The local PBS station, KCPT, has a weekly news/conversation program each Thursday evening called "Ruckus" it is widely known. And it's usually a pretty good program, definitely, discussing local government and business current events. Given the shrinking of the Kansas City Star in town, it becomes an even more important outlet, if brief, at 30 minutes."
Why not just call the guy an asshole and be done with it. No point in trying to turn an innocuous blog post into something grander than, "Last night's Ruckus sucked."

See what I mean? This guy's obviously mentally-challenged. He didn't notice Heeter and Simons were on the panel as Democrats? And what's wrong with having a Libertarian viewpoint?
If he wants to advocate for Latino and Asian representation on the program, then state your case. And Latinos do have a case to be made, as they're now America's largest minority group.

ReplyDeleteThe is a spate between the two of them. Such a spate necessitates outrage to cover the lack of empathy. Tony's outrage is unconvincing. If he wants to break the link between them, he can remove MO Rage from his blog roll. End of problem.
Neither one has to defend their existence to the other.
