ReplyDeleteAt least in the Northeast there's a community that actually wants to work with community police officers.
ReplyDeleteIn most of the higher crime parts of the city community policing would be the sound of one hand clapping and a waste of resources.
No one's more important and necessary to reduce crime and violence in a neighborhood than the people who live there.
The Chief wants community policing, just not police in the community. Seems contradictory.
