Jackson County COMBAT Tax Hype Today

Because this tax is mostly to fund political paybacks and a vast array of somewhat cleverly disguised entitlements . . . Here's a bit of hype that probably won't help to reduce crime or gun violence but still manages to work to get out the vote: Free neighborhood event aims to get prescription drugs off streets, give gun owners locks

  1. This ultimate boondoggle generates around $20 million every year and congratulates itself for giving away things for FREE.
That should be about all you need to know to decide to vote NO.
The slush funds for insiders, family, and friends of local politicos and other grifters in Jackson County and KCMO are endless.

  3. Love their campaign theme "stop the violence". So far they haven't stopped a damn thing and it doesn't look like they will in the future. Drug abuse and violence has dramatically increased while combat has been in effect. Programs like "fingerpainting with felons" at Rev. Rope a Dope's aren't the answer. Time for something new. Time to stop funding grifters.

  4. The combat tax and the drug war has been a complete failure. Stop passing this crap just to clear your guilt. It is burning tax payer money for nothing.
