Because this tax is mostly to fund political paybacks and a vast array of somewhat cleverly disguised entitlements . . . Here's a bit of hype that probably won't help to reduce crime or gun violence but still manages to work to get out the vote: Free neighborhood event aims to get prescription drugs off streets, give gun owners locks

This ultimate boondoggle generates around $20 million every year and congratulates itself for giving away things for FREE.
ReplyDeleteThat should be about all you need to know to decide to vote NO.
The slush funds for insiders, family, and friends of local politicos and other grifters in Jackson County and KCMO are endless.
Big fat "NO" on my ballot.
ReplyDeleteLove their campaign theme "stop the violence". So far they haven't stopped a damn thing and it doesn't look like they will in the future. Drug abuse and violence has dramatically increased while combat has been in effect. Programs like "fingerpainting with felons" at Rev. Rope a Dope's aren't the answer. Time for something new. Time to stop funding grifters.

ReplyDeleteDO that means they as be giving ouch free drugs to me and my brother BOYZ ¿
ReplyDeleteLet's see the results of an audit. Who is on the Combat payroll and what do they do?
ReplyDeleteIf police officers aren't safe. Prisoners in a cel can keys and wander freely. Pendergast way is the rule of the day and this place is futuristic? And you get mad about body cameras. Task force that meet. Period. The only one
ReplyDeleteDoing
well is the balloon ma and the t shirt man. What a world. What a town. If you listen to their rant and say nothing. Listen to mine and say 0.
Only in Missouri. In Colorado they are making money of pot and in Missouri we are paying money to be told not to use it. Go figure.
ReplyDeleteNo! No Combat Tax! Hell no! Are you feeling safer? Vote no!!!
