Craig Glazer: Bomb Hits Clinton Campaign! FBI Reopens Email Case!
It was all but over for Donald Trump a week ago. His path to the White House seemed nearly impossible. Trump trailed Hillary Clinton in most polls by 4-6 percentage points and more important he was too far behind in electoral college numbers. Then Donald got two big gifts just days apart. Obama care had to admit that rates would go up for 'everyone' by 25% to 100% this coming year. Wow. That effects millions of American voters. Big bucks. Then the 'atomic bomb' FBI director James Comey announced a new 'email' investigation involving Clinton and her close ally and best friend Huma Abedin and her troubled husband Anthony Weiner. Again yet another sex scandal with Weiner and emails by the thousands on his computer and lord knows what else, perhaps from Clinton to his wife. Details are not yet known and likely won't be until AFTER the election.
It's a mess. This election to say the least has been an embarrassment to our country. Both candidates issues have become so upsetting that people are forced to choose who they think is the least 'probelm,' of the two to be president of the United States. One candidate, Hillary Clinton, has clearly used her office, foundation for charities, and even email coverups to make the American people not trust her. She is an extremely experienced leader with great knowledge of most issues needed to be a strong leader. However the Clintons have used their power to go into many grey areas and make millions of dollars for themselves with disregard to rules and laws. They feel they are above the law, that's a big problem.
Donald Trump, the outsider, has many great ideas. He is a charismatic character and intriguing choice to have a businessman as president. However his past interviews and feelings towards women have been a huge negative as well as his inability to handle his temper. Lesser issues include some clear personal tax problems, clearly he has used the system to pay little or no taxes, which makes him look bad. To be fair he has far less baggage than the Clintons. Their scandal sheet is too long to print. Yet the democrats are the power group today, there are just more of them. The Republicans have long been seen as a bit racist by minorities and our country has more and more Latino, African-American and other minority voters today than ever before. Most are not Republican. Trump has been painted as to say the least not a friend of the minority groups.
As I have written before, I don't think either of these two candidates are as bad or worse than other power brokers who came before them to win the White House like John Kennedy and the Bush family. That's America. With social media, the live tv media and everyone online jumping in on everything and everyone its hard to be a 'clean' candidate today. Boy this makes President Obama look like an angel in comparison.
Trump now has a chance to win....'again'....can he? Will he? The polls are nearly even, with this new FBI report its likely Trump for the first time ever will lead in the polls by midweek or sooner. Yet he could win the popular vote and lose the White House due to the electoral college numbers not favoring him. In fact his margin could be better than when Al Gore lost to Bush, and Trump could still lose. Gore had a small margin of votes more than Bush did nationally, but still lost due to electoral college numbers.
Its a thriller. Nobody knows the answer. We will find out next week! Hang on.

Either way, we're going to war in Syria. So none of this might matter.
ReplyDeleteCraig is playing it safe. He has some good points but ultimately it'll come down to the battle ground states. With Texas waffling toward Hillary then that still leaves Trump with too much ground to make up.

Bill will surely help out so he can have Huma by himself. If that works look for the name Vince Foster to appear and keep old Hillary in the slammer until 2040- when she will be close to 100 and no longer a threat to the American people.

ReplyDeleteComey broke The Hatch Act. When he wrote the bombshell letter to congress on Friday he didn't have a warrant. It raised expectations for Donald Trump. Reading closely what Comey said, the FBI didn't have legal authority to read those emails on Wiener's laptop. FBI don't know if they are duplicates, if they are classified. They have no idea of the content of those emails. It might be a Huma's yahoo account or it may have been HRC's server. FBI could have seen the meta data without a search warrant. But they were emails that were forwarded to her assistant or to her server.
ReplyDeleteObama's partisan political hacks in the Justice Department would have to issue a subpoena; the FBI does not have that authority. Obviously, they would never do that. But no subpoena was necessary. Weiner voluntaily surrendered his laptop to the FBI.

James Comey knows his time is coming to an end at the FBI. He screwed up the first investigation and bowed to political pressure to not do what was right the first time around. I think this is his get even act for being forced into not being allowed to do his job. He knows Hillary isn't Presidential material the same as many others now know. But the truth in fact is, he knows more than us because he has seen things the rest of us haven't.
