There are a lot of reasons the artsy party proposed by Mayor Sly James in Swope Park is a bad idea . . . But questions over a sketchy budget and EPIC ask top this list from City Council.

ReplyDeleteThey will say the $250,000 will go to an Art Festival and then some how the money will be mismanaged and end up back into their own pockets. Text book example of how local government works.

This is just like the taxpayer-provided picnics where $15,000 is spent on hot dogs and chips and like 47 people show up.

ReplyDeleteSly and his posse must feel pretty emboldened to look to grab out a quarter of a million unaccounted for dollars from the public till. My guess is they dont think anyone will take the time to buck the system and subject them to even the most peripheral oversight. Oh well, we elected and re-elected the Obese Bowtie. Whores bitta eat... we should know better :(
