The fallout of female inmate rape reports at Jackson County continue and this bit of testimony reveals that denizens of 12th & Oak aren't satisfied of how the administration of a former Kansas City baseball legend dropped the ball on this one . . .
Here's the word . . .
"The White administration has deliberately mislead the public about any real or actual disciplinary action being taken at the jail over the "key fiasco" (i.e.- the claim that one employee was suspended without pay). The person that they claim was "suspended" had in fact already been suspended for other issues unconnected to the rapes. In an effort to make it look like they were doing something, they offered the very misleading statement that any employee a had been suspended, implying that it was because of the rapes. The county counselor's office advised White's Administration NOT to mislead the press and public and lie about this, but they wanted to make it look like they were actually doing something when they weren't.
"DOUBLE WHAMMY: The STAR (specifically Mike Hendrix) was made aware of this but lazily decided to ignore it."
Furthermore . . .
JACKSON COUNTY INSIDES REMIND US THAT THESE WOMEN WERE JUST "HOLDOVERS" FROM KANSAS CITY ARRESTS . . . I.E. THEY WERE CONFRONTING VICIOUS CRIMINALS IN THE AFTERMATH OF MINOR INFRACTIONS!!!
