  1. He can't just do what he wants, this is a free country.

  2. Freedom = Responsibility. Why should KC taxpayers subsidize his career if he disrespects their values?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Why should a black man pretend he's white?

Racism is one of the values of the KC taxpayers.

  4. These stupid sports negroes think they're making such a statement, when really they be kissing American soil. Where else could they earn millions with a fifth-grade education and be idolized by a bunch of troglodytes?

  5. You cucks still buying the jerseys of these clowns?

    Of course you are.

  6. One has a first amendment right to protest and as an employer I have a right to fire employees. That Clark Hunt doesn't release this jerk shows where his priorities are.

What would happen to a player who gave a Nazi salute during the national anthem. Think his first amendment rights would be respected? If not then its not about the first amendment, its about the NFL cowering to its employees.

  7. Peters = TRAITOR.

I'm not paying $500 for a day at the stadium just to support him.

    No thanks.

  8. Jingoism = fascism = slavery

  9. Don't care! let the man do what he wants the

  10. Fire him!!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes I agree fire him.

  12. Outside of the fact he's a JERK and clearly doesn't respect our country and its icons, he apparently needed that water 'cause he got BURNED at least twice yesterday in that sad excuse for a game. Marcus, stick to games and leave the important issues - like patriotism and love of country - to real Americans who give a damn about our freedoms...which BTW allow you and others like you to do the stupid stuff you do.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yes, 8:31, you can't have it both ways. Either our soldiers are fighting for our freedom, or they're fighting to preserve fascism.

If we are not free to dissent, then we are not free.

    1. He is indeed free to do as he wants..... and he should be free from his job, free to find a new job....

      Free from fans.

  14. 8:20, that's nonsense, in its most literal form. There is no such sequence except in your imagination.

    ReplyDelete
  15. He has the freedom to do what he wants, i also have freedom to boycott anything NFL and take away their money.

What these players dont see is professional football is a form of modern day slavery anyway. Rich white owners and the majority of the players are black, from the ghettos all across the country. These players are programmed to be bigger/ faster, just like the hundreds of years ago. They all think they matter, but in the long run, nobody gives a damn about them cause they are expendable!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Really? Because black athletes make up the majority of professional football.

  16. Cut him now! Hes another Dwayne Bowe. Trouble maker, divisive, a wet blanket on our team! Show him the door before he really hurts the team!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Bob, yes, that's exactly the sequence.

Since, it's well known that you're a racist, your opinion on this matter can hardly be considered objective.

This racism is exactly the point of this protest.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Would someone explain to that moron that the national anthem and the flag that is raised when it is played is for the same country that fought to take his people out of slavery. If America is so racist, how did it elect and reelect a black man as president?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Can you win games and make a point? Defeats the point if you lose all the time. What were the names of the Two Olympians that wore a glove and raised fists? Their reason and your reason. Sincerity or serious ad bucks?. Will it backfire? Will it change? Or naught? Fickle ? Write a new song. Play ball. Stop cashing that big fat check every week. Write Congress. Each person sitting down write a lyric for a new song. They'll be a hit in there somewhere. So, pretty please, with sugar on the top, WIN some fucking games.

  21. Who the fuck cares, as long as this idiot can read a playbook, I'm fine with it...

    ReplyDelete
  22. He can read? Are your certain. I don't think being able to read is a requirement for playing college football.

  23. I fucking hate sports. It's an American braindead pastime.

  24. Fuck this Jigg and the white man he rode in on!!

  25. Picked last for the team...hehehe!

  26. Better luck next time. Go Chiefs!

  27. IS MARCUS PETERS SUFFERING FROM A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY???

The reason I ask, is because he's acting silly.

Peters said he raised his right fist, with black glove, during the national anthem, in front of a stadium of thousands, plus a larger television audience because...."I was just stating how I'm black, and I love being black, (and) I'm supporting Colin in what he's doing as far as raising awareness with the justice system. But I didn't mean anything (bad) by it."

Ok, dear reader, try to control your laughter, wipe your eyes, get up off the floor, and change your shorts if you need to!! We're dealing with a professional athlete here and not a scholar.

Before we proceed any further, please reference the following and educate yourself on historical context:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_Olympics_Black_Power_salute

1968 in chronological order: the Tet Offensive in Vietnam; incumbent President LBJ was unpopular and challenged within his own party, leading him to not seek reelection; MLK was assassinated; the United States Congress passed the Civil Rights Act; Robert Kennedy was assassinated; violent protests broke out at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago; Alabama Governor George Wallace ran as an independent Presidential candidate and sought "segregation now, segregation forever"; the Olympics were held in Mexico City in October.

Smith and Carlos were both sprinting world-record holders at their peak. Immediately before their medal ceremony protest, Smith had set a world record in the 200 meters, taking gold, Australian Peter Norman won silver, and Carlos won bronze. All 3 athletes wore human rights badges on their jackets, though only Smith and Carlos raised gloved fists on the podium. Because no one else can know for sure another's motivation, we should rely on Tommie Smith's own words that it was not a "black power salute" but rather a "human rights salute."

You can accuse the athletes of being rude, of inappropriately using the Olympic platform to launch their personal political views, but they didn't harm anyone else, and in fact endured ostracization and threats afterward. Both Smith and Carlos briefly played, in later years, for the NFL. Which brings us back to Marcus Peters of the Chiefs.

While 2016 has been an unusual political year, I think it would be a great exaggeration to equate 2016 to the events of 1968. Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers, signed a contract paying him an average annual salary of $19 million dollars. What do you think Tommie Smith and Juan Carlos would think of that? Marcus Peters is a 23-yr. old man-child. His NFL contract has a total value of $9,584,160 (avg. $2,396,040/year; $9,584,160 fully guaranteed). Perhaps what's going on here, is that we have 2 multimillionaire drama queens who've gone more than 15 minutes without a stroke, and were in desperate need of a social media hit fix.

As long as Kaepernick and Peters don't bother anyone else, and are willing to risk public opinion turning against them, then they can do whatever they wish, and we can either choose to notice them or not.

But to paraphrase from a famous political debate, "Mr. Peters, I knew Tommie Smith, Tommie Smith was a good friend of mine, and you sir are no Tommie Smith."

  28. Anon 9:27 - Nope, the concepts are independent of and do not follow each other. Even though it is well known that you are a fool, we will give you an opportunity to demonstrate otherwise by carefully reasoned explanation. Go.

    ReplyDelete
  30. And the fools showed his ass on the field by getting called for unsportsmanlike conduct - you know what they say "true colors of a man always come out". Peters just STFU and all bombing Muslim lives matter too ABMLM

  31. Don't watch the games on TV and don't go to the games. It is time to show that America has had enough of these animals.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Can we have one event in KC that doesn't get mired in stupid politics?

I'll be glad when this dumb election is over.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Marcus Peters should have been warned the first time and fired the 2nd time he pulled this stunt.

Anyone has the right their own opinions and to protest, but NOT on their employer's time and at the workplace.

I would be fired for much less.

Shame on the Chiefs in particular and the NFL in general for putting up with this. Failure to act by the Chiefs and the NFL is implicit agreement with his 'cause'.

    Boycott now !
